are relationships  with a romantic or passionate or sexual relationship directivity with another person outside marriage.

An extramarital affair could last from several weeks to several years. One of the parties could even be passed through divorce and remarriage, but still considering this relationship as a primary, while the marriage remains secondary to it. These are so called married dating, or even polygamy, is considered as indecent by society and even sometimes illegal .

The ability to pursue such relationships, requires skill in deception and duplicitous negotiation. Even to hide one affair requires some special skills.

Nevertheless individuals having affairs with married men or women are quite common.

What’s extramarital sex? It originally referred only to sex between a woman who was married and a person other than her spouse. Even in cases of separation from one’s spouse it is still considered an extramarital affair.

So, Extramarital sex occurs when a married person engages in sexual activity with someone other than his or her marriage partner.

American biologist Alfred Kinsey found in his 1950-era studies that 50% of American males and 26% of females had extramarital affair. Depending on studies, it was estimated that 26-50% of men and 21-38% of women, or 22.7% of men and 11.6% of women had extramarital affair. Other authors say that between 20% and 25% Americans had sex with someone other than their spouse. Durex’s Global Sex Survey has found that 44% of adults worldwide have had one-night extramarital sex and 22% have had an affair. According to a 2004 United States survey, 16% of married partners have had extramarital affair, nearly twice as many men as women, while an additional 30% have fantasized about it.

Three recent studies in the United States, using nationally representative samples, have found that about 10–15% of women and 20–25% of men admitted to having engaged in extramarital sex.
